The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard New Trailer!
The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, the sequel to the 2017 film The Hitman’s Bodyguard, had its release date moved up to the beginning of this summer. A new trailer and cast/synopsis details ahead of the release on June 16th. The sequel to the unexpected 2017 hit will again star Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L. Jackson as the bodyguard (Michael Bryce) and hitman (Darius Kincaid) from the title with Salma Hayek as Jackson’s wild wife Sonia!
The first film saw Reynolds lose his licence after Kincaid took out his client with an impossible shot! Left to look after deadbeat clients he is called back to take Kincaid to the Hague to give testimony against Gary Oldman’s evil Vladislav Dukhovich. With car chases, shootouts and Hayek’s character hamming it up it was a good decent hit!
The Good, The Bad and the Batshit Cray Cray!
The world’s most lethal odd couple – bodyguard Michael Bryce and hitman Darius Kincaid – are back on another life-threatening mission! Still unlicensed and under scrutiny, Bryce is forced into action by Darius’s even more volatile wife, the infamous international con artist Sonia Kincaid (Salma Hayek). As Bryce is driven over the edge by his two most dangerous protectees, the trio gets in over their heads in a global plot and soon find that they are all that stands between Europe and a vengeful and powerful madman (Antonio Banderas). Joining in the fun and deadly mayhem is Morgan Freeman as…well, you’ll have to see.
Co-Stars & First Trailer
With Richard E. Grant returning as Mr Seifer he will be joined by Frank Grillo, Antonio Banderas and Morgan Freeman as new unnamed characters. Other named stars include Caroline Goodall, Rebecca Front, Gabriella Wright, Alice McMillan, Kristofer Kamiyasu, Tom Hopper and Blake Ritson.
I think from the synopsis and pictures we can assume that the “Batshit Cray” Sophia will be taking the spotlight (probably saving both other stars countless times!)
